Ninety percent of Americans have cell phones. Nearly 70% find themselves checking their phone for messages or alerts – even when their phone isn’t ringing or vibrating. The device that was once affordable for just a small few is now pervasive across the country. And usage isn’t slowing down. As brands adapt for a mobile-first (and sometimes mobile-only) world, they face an entirely new frontier in social media. Mike Templeton, digital marketing manager at Kum & Go, will share how the Midwest convenience store chain is leveraging consumers’ favorite device to stay in touch and top of mind with mobile social media.

Mike Templeton is an experienced marketing strategist with a passion for technology. He serves as digital marketing manager at Kum & Go, the fifth largest privately held, company-operated convenience store chain in the United States. His previous roles have spanned social media strategy, email marketing, and online community management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Iowa State University.
